what it's all about...

If you are one to follow my blog at all, you probably know by now that Annie is my sister and often times, my model (see a couple of her past shoots here and here). 

Well, now she is all grown up, 18, could give Zooey Deschanel a run for her money, went to prom, and as of last night, became a high school graduate! Time flies I tell you. Soon she'll be packing her bags and heading up North to college and I'll be all teary eyed and junk, but we'll save that for another post.

For now, here are a few photos I took of her and her friends on their prom night (which was also Cinco De Mayo and the same night as my "fight night" themed party).

I be busy!

I have so many beautiful photo sessions to work on and edit. In no way am I complaining; I am beyond happy. I just can't wait to finish and share them all!

Matt & Dannie's engagement

A few weeks ago, I flew up to San Francisco to shoot my dear friends and fellow photographers, Matt and Dannie's engagement photos. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these two. I met them a couple of years ago and since then, they have been nothing but wonderful to me. You know when you just meet someone and you feel like you've known them your whole life? Well, that's them. They are 100% giving, oober talented photographers themselves (see their work here), they are freaking hilarious, totally hot, and made one of the cutest babies I've ever seen.

It's a little nerve-wrecking shooting photos for another photographer, but in typical Matt and Dannie form, they made it a cool, comfortable, and fun task for me.
We went around the Mission District and shot at one of my favorite shops, Belljar, down Clarion Alley, and in my dad's bar, The Knockout. We went for sushi and ended our day in Russian Hill with ice cream at Swensen's.

 Im madly in love with this shoot and I am absolutely honored, thrilled, and excited as hell to shoot their wedding next year!

 I freaking love you two to pieces!!
