Last night I attended my friend (and fellow photographer's) art show in Venice Beach. It was a cool, quaint, intimate setting with his close friends and family, and jalapeno-infused margaritas!
Alright, I know I've been talking for a while now about changes to Lady K Photography including a new name and logo. I was waiting for "the right time" and the "perfect presentation" but let's face it, that could be never, right?
So here it is! See, I often slip into a slump where I feel like Im at a stand-still between rut road and accomplished alley. Last night, I came home after a long day, made a cup of tea, and did my usual bit of blog-following. I scrolled through and saw yet another gorgeous post from the oh-so-talented Emma Case and well, let's just say I headed down depression drive.
Her photos are always stunning and Ive watched her business boom in such a short amount of time. 'What the hell am I doing wrong' was all I could think.
Just as I felt like throwing my hands up and closing the doors on my little business due to massive envy and frustration, I told myself to knock it the eff off and made a quick turn onto highway 411!
I wrote out a lot of questions I wanted to know the answers to regarding success in this field and sent them off to Emma.
To my delight, she wrote back on her blog within a few hours!
After reading her response and really searching through my own soul, I channeled all my energy into changing my attitude and making this happen for me. To hell with slippery slumps and rubbish ruts! I am goal-driven on a oneway street to SUCCESS! I am going to do whatever I have to do to go from "dreaming a dream" to "living the dream"!
That being said, why wait to reveal the new name??
So... (drum roll please) here it is!
Dear To My Art
Photography
I am so excited about this and I am so ready to head off this new chapter in my career. There are still a lot of changes to come: a new blog look, a cool new logo, a website!! But hey, it's a work in progress and you gotta start somewhere.
I have to say thank you so much to all of you who have supported me and helped me out thus far. I couldnt do any of this without you.
Please continue to follow and watch me and my little photo business blossom!
