Jane and Chris are Engaged!

Ok so Maybe they aren't. And maybe their names aren't even Jane and Chris. I'll be honest, I have no idea who these two love birds are, but I was at a park downtown and there they were, striking these lovey dovey poses in the distance. To be blunt, it was quite nauseating to witness (I mean, they had no idea their photos were being taken -they were just standing this way, making out). But, my camera and I couldn't pass it up.

ahhhhhh young love...

Mama said there'd be days like these...

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with one of my very favorite photographers, featherlove.com/
-surreal for me, let me tell you. Not only was it super cool to meet her (she's even cooler than I could've imagined -and that's pretty fuckin' cool!) but I had the pleasure of meeting her and hanging out with on her birthday! She wanted to celebrate with some drinks and asked me if I'd like to join her... Uhhhh, are you kidding me?! OF COURSE I WOULD!!
So I got to share drinks and cake, a burger and fries, and just shoot the shit with her until almost midnight!
*cue Lou Reed's "Perfect Day"*

She is such an inspirational person to listen to and as she spoke, I could literally feel my insides awakening. EPIPHANY!
The cherry on top?
Well, besides the incredibleness of hearing HER call MY work beautiful (did I just hear trumpets??) I feel honored to say, she took a few photos of me on my camera... Now, I never ever like the way I look in photos people take of me, but leave it to her to make me look good!
Happy unbirthday to me!

So thank you, Noa and I feather love you!
MUAH!

My ceramic garden

I've been a busy bee in the garden of clay, making many of these lovely flower tea light holders. As hard as it is for me to let go of any of them (they're all so different and pretty!) I think it's time to sell some...
So if any of you are interested, let me know!
They can also be used as small jewelry bowls, candy bowls, or knickknacks, or anything else you can think of!
The larger ones are $10, medium are $8, and small are $5.

Here are a few of many!

and I'll be making many more!

Three Little Woonies

About a month ago I bought myself a new camera! It was a long time in the works, but when I finally did it, it felt great!  And when I got it home and was ready to test it out, what was the first thing I could think of to break it in? My adorable dogs, no doubt! Or as they are more commonly referred to around here, WOONIES! They are such natural models and well, they're just too damn cute!
So here they are!

Foofy:

and, of course, Charlie:

and I snuck this one of the bf and Foofy in there too (heehee)...

Just Cuz

Here are a few random pictures I took a couple weeks ago from a night out with my mom and her good friend, Alexandra. Dinner at Alex's, followed by drinks at a shnazzy pasadena spot:

Day At The Museum: Part Two

About a month ago, my boyfriend's friend and his girlfriend came to visit from Arizona. The four of us went to the La Brea Tar Pits (which I haven't been to since elementary school) and walked around LACMA a bit. Afterwards, we went on a drive around Lake Hollywood to find the famous Hollywood sign. Here are the photos from our adventure:

and yes, this is inappropriate, but it was too funny to not share
